More information about SixFinger from Topper Toys

Released in 1965 by Topper Toys, a subsidiary of De Luxe Reading Corp., Sixfinger was a quirky spy-themed device designed to resemble an extra appendage.

Once nestled in a child’s hand, the finger-shaped toy offered several covert options, including the ability to shoot a “secret” bullet, a cap bomb that “exploded” on impact, and a fragmentation bomb that broke apart upon hitting its target.

Sixfinger also allowed junior secret agents to fire off an S-O-S missile with “HELP” engraved on its side and a Message Missile that could hold a ¾-inch by ½-inch strip of paper with encoded messages.

The toy’s sixth feature was an attachable ballpoint pen. As a bonus, each Sixfinger also came with a built-in clicker that could be used to send coded messages.
